Comey is a political hack. He played ball with Lynch and the Obama Admin to protect Hillary, he collects information for later use. No Integrity, No Courage.

Comey said he started memorializing his conversations with Trump because he didn't trust Trump to report them honestly should they ever be scrutinized.

Given that Trump loudly proclaims exaggeration as a virtue, I am not sure Comey's feelings were unjustified.

I just think Comey is not credible. He is trying to justify his own politically motivated decisions after the fact. It doesn't add up.
Lynch pressured him on Hillary, and lied, but Comey didn't feel compelled to Memo it ?

He didn't tell the AG or Assisstant AG because both would likely have to recuse themselves ?

By "not credible" do you mean you think whatever is in his memos is inaccurate, or that his decision to make and share the memos is not apolitical?

I understand the irritation that the Dems seemed to get a softer touch from the FBI than Trump, but frankly, I don't think what didn't happen to Clinton is relevant to anything currently happening.

I can buy Comey is politically motivated to a degree that would bother Trump supporters.

But that doesn't mean it was a bad idea for him to record his conversations with POTUS, or that his recordings or unreliable. It just means Trump supporters have good reasons to wish he hadn't.
