What are we left with, the clear understanding that the government has full access to all electronic communications you have, they know your calendar, when and what you buy, all of it.
What was the 4th Amendment about ?

Why on earth would it matter if they've left the US? That shit is probably written into the factory-default files. You can't stop Uncle Sam from "protecting" you, no matter what.
Why wouldn't they?

Well, if you start writing custom Mac firmware, you could probably sell it and make millions... There's a lot of people out there sick of being spied on.The Conservative wrote:Actually, I do... I know how to, doesn't mean I want too... writing code for firmware if not installed correctly can brick a Mac faster than you can say shit.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Well, if you start writing custom Mac firmware, you could probably sell it and make millions... Well, I know I can't do it. It's a pretty solid business idea though, for someone motivated enough. The Conservative wrote:I know how to, doesn't mean I want too... writing code for firmware if not installed correctly can brick a Mac faster than you can say shit.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Well, if you start writing custom Mac firmware, you could probably sell it and make millions... Nah, not at all what I was thinking. The government establishment does want to keep inching down the field to a Collectivist hell hole. I just want to stall them as long as I can so that my kids and grandkids can enjoy the most freedom and liberty possible.
BTW- 4 Supreme Court justices in Heller vs DC did vote and say US citizen don't have the right to own guns. So the taking the guns away thing is very real....................... H/T Crowder

Grab a slice here, grab a slice there...eventually you own the whole pie. That is more or less what's happened. And we (and our elected representatives) are too afraid to admit the extent of the overreach, because admitting it would expose the scope of the problem and precipitate a call to reform, and no one knows how to roll all of this back while keeping us safe from domestic and foreign threats. That's the quagmire we're in.C-Mag wrote:What are we left with, the clear understanding that the government has full access to all electronic communications you have, they know your calendar, when and what you buy, all of it.
