That pro-Ukraine video was propaganda. I can’t tell what will happen to cronyism Russia when Putin is gone but pragmatically, Russia has already defeated Ukraine’s military and achieved most of its objectives. Unless the U.S. gets directly involved, the war is essentially over though it will drag slowly to a halt with a separated south & eastern third.
they have achieved none of their important objectives

and what little they have achieved

is hardly worth the price they have already paid for it

or will pay for it

well you want to bog down the Russians as much as possible

while not arming the Ukrainians too much so that get too powerful

balance of power can be a tricky thing
So, Russia is not done ?

If Russia is defeated, no sense in sending more money and weapons to Ukraine. If Russia is defeated, there is no sense 'Bogging Russia Down'. Bogging someone down suggests a status quo, a balance with no movement, not Victory.
stalemate is strategic defeat for Russia

you are focusing too much on the tactical

I'm talking strategy here
OK, let's talk Strategy.

What is Russia's goals in the War.

they wanted a Pro-Russia Ukrainian puppet

to help secure the Black Sea and part of their southwestern flank with defendable terrain

which will never happen now

they thought they could pull it off by toppling the government inside of a week

when that didn't happen they had no plan B

and entangled themselves in a quagmire

that they cannot win

the best they can do is limit the damage they do themselves

truly an epic geopolitical blunder

They did the same thing in Tajikistan, Georgia & Syria and it worked. They don't have to topple the government, they just have to intimidate it. How long that may be is up for postulation?

It's not working in Ukraine

it's is far larger with a much bigger population

who are resisting far more fiercely

thinking they can pull a Georgia

is just making it harder to achieve their objectives

both now and in the future

it is just making the Ukrainians fight harder and become more united

and they aren't intimidated

they are whooping Russia's ass

if anything it is the Russians who are intimidated

kind of hard to intimidate by losing badly

that tends to embolden the opponent

not deter them

they broke up their involvement in that

but that isn't to their benefit

On the map of Ukraine shown by voting districts, the dark green firmly Russian supporters are in the areas currently held by Russian, so it will be Ukraine vs. new republics. It's basically a civil war if Ukraine eventually goes on the offensive. Do you really want to be cheering on sides in a civil war?

Really? Think about it... the countries no longer working together are now fighting for the same resources.

- I'm sure they wanted a Russian puppet as much as Washington DC likes having a Western puppet.
- securing the Black Sea has mostly been accomplished by Russia
- What is going to stop Russia from taking southwestern flank, like Oddessa ?

I was told 4-5 weeks ago that Ukraine had defeated Russia in Mariupol. Well, that didn't happen. Russia now holds Mariupol. These dramatic statements of Russia being defeated are ridiculous and sophomoric.

This war will go on, it's a proxy war by the West against Russia, both sides are using Mercenaries, both sides are committing atrocities.

Back in the before times, our leaders prided themselves in peace, not now. There is no talk of peace or ending the fighting. It's only more weapons, more money, more propaganda.
