In a game this closely contested, observance of the rules is all important.

It's like saying "OK, I was put into mate, I get that, but I still had 7 pawns, a bishop, and a knight, and all you had was 4 pawns, a rook, and queen. Seems like I should be the real winner here."

That's how petty someone sounds when they are constantly citing the popular vote as if that means anything.

Except Trump won all the important swing states. So it was a blowout. Trump spent his resources far more wisely and was rewarded with a yuge win.

sigh. It's about leading the whole country. I agree that if his goal is to completely alienate half the country, he's doing a spectacular job. Seriously; many of my closest friends were willing to give him a fair shot, but this kind of petulant behavior is obnoxious. Even some of the peeps who were #neverhillary
are getting annoyed by this childish behavior.

Yes we do, we have Trudeau, far more in common with Trump than you think, different style, same tactics, and even more inexperienced, not only has never run a country, but has never even had to make a payroll in his utterly pampered life, hasn't really ever had a real job in fact.

Very, VERY even. This is why the popular vote stuff is meaningless, and a canard when used as an arguing point.

The popular vote, state by state, is meaningless for determining the winner, but a very helpful tool to determine actual support. Votes indicate he's not really that popular.

IMO, he should be more serious and stop complaining that his "thing" wasn't the bigliest ever. He's not going to have the bigliest everything, so he should shrug it off and move on.

I think Capps would acknowledge that the Dauphin Trudeau is a formidable opponent, and that the Liberals can deploy him effectively whenever they get into trouble, as a distraction from the issues, in the same way that Trump does it in the USA, Trudeau definitely goes out of his way to alienate his opponents, to troll them into overreaching, that's the Trudeau game in a nutshell.

Trudeau is a New Model Politician in the same vein as Trump, he's just playing for the other side..
