I averaged 74 hours a week over the last month.

I don't want to hear about people whining about being poor. Being poor is more of a choice than you can wrap your mind around. Fuck the Economic Planners, understand the battlefield, go out there and beat it.

Choice or not a choice. I don't know. My dad knew I needed to get an education so I wouldn't be poor like we were. He knew that by the time I was growing up, but he might not have known it when he was making the choices that led to him being poor. By then, knowing didn't matter much, and the choice to not be poor didn't really change anything.

One thing he didn't do was teach me to rage against the machine. He looked back objectively and said, "look son. don't be like me. get an education. working with your body don't pay like it used to."

It's by choice.
I setting myself up for Retirement earnings from this job, so that I can start an independent career, and be my own boss.

I'm not going to be waiting on my computer, refreshing like crazy to see if my government safety net hit when I'm 60. I've always taken control of my own destiny.

The average person who grows up poor will remain so. The exceptional ones will rise above.

However much it's their fault, you still gotta deal with the poor people.

I take pride in the fact that we take care of our own. Maybe others don't, it's not a moral failing not to care either. I just do. I used to not care but now I do.
