My mother's family from Nova Scotia were hardcore Baptists, so they were constantly in Dixie.

They used to drive from Canada to the South to go to join with the Southern Baptists.

So even tho my father came from America, my mother's Canadian family was actually more American by faith.

In Nova Scotia, its called the Evangeline Trail, so from them is where I get my Southron feels.
