One thing that does drive me nuts is how large corporations game the system when it comes to government programs. For instance, WalMart will show its employees how to apply for EBT when they start working there. This is ridiculous. I dont know how to fix this problem but that shit pisses me off.

Not in my interests, philosophically I oppose the agenda of destroying small businesses in order to favour publically traded multinationals, but financially, I'm all for it, I don't really want you to spit out the bit, keep on keeping on with that kool-aid, tell all your friends.

A higher minimum wage does not destroy small business if taxes go down concurrently.

Taking money from the military budget does not destroy small businesses not involved in the MIC.

Well luckily none of that is going to happen and so my interests are secure, that's the beauty of it, you're naivete walks you right into the trap, it all depends on your idealistic naivete, if you suddenly got clear eyed and hard headed about your interests, that would be bad. Choice or not a choice. I don't know. My dad knew I needed to get an education so I wouldn't be poor like we were. He knew that by the time I was growing up, but he might not have known it when he was making the choices that led to him being poor. By then, knowing didn't matter much, and the choice to not be poor didn't really change anything.

One thing he didn't do was teach me to rage against the machine. He looked back objectively and said, "look son. don't be like me. get an education. working with your body don't pay like it used to."

I setting myself up for Retirement earnings from this job, so that I can start an independent career, and be my own boss.

I'm not going to be waiting on my computer, refreshing like crazy to see if my government safety net hit when I'm 60. I've always taken control of my own destiny.
