I could also have substituted the term "political science" and kept the rest of it the same.

As for "dialectics the post", it's still snark about a label in the post and nothing about the post.

No. Political economics is literally marxism. This is not hyperbole.

That's because he doesn't understand what he's talking about. You pushed one of his 'triggers', and he wants to jump on it.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

I think I am the only one who actually studied it here, honestly.

I had to slog through half a semester of this shit and learn it from communist textbooks in order to get my freaking macro econ slots filled.

I didn't say I was an expert. I simply know what the term means. These two goofballs are walking around tossing terms like political economy and then acting like jackasses when somebody correctly points out they are talking about marxism.

That's what it is.

Studying the relationship between politics and economics is what Marx did, and so you could call doing that 'Marxist,' but since the term 'Marxism' is also used as a specific prescription for the economy, it is a little disingenuous to pedantically hammer down on the term, and you damn-well know that.

Lets not debate Marxism. It just works. Marxism won the dialectical battle against Capitalism. It has been tried and tested with near perfect results every time. Think about all the tech and innovations from the Soviet Union and Mao's China that the West uses every day. Think about the food surpluses. The best thing about Marxism is that it is open to new ideas and intellectual diversity. We couldn't be having this debate on an internet message board in a Capitalist country, because the government would try to censor it. We couldn't go to Church or join an organization in the West that was not cleared by the capitalist government. Let's put this argument to rest and give our Venezuelan brothers a hand in sharing the Wealth.

If I go to school to study classical Newtonian mechanics, should I expect to spend a long time on alchemy and esoteric calculations for rebuilding the Temple of Solomon? Newton literally did a lot of that.

Can you identify such a program in a university today? I can direct you to any of the hundreds of political economics programs out there..
