Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
The libcuck mods on /pol/ took down the /hwndu/ threads because it's "raiding and doxxing." I'm currently spamming /qa/ over this shit. They tried to say /pol/ violated the NAP but it was clearly Shia.

The SJWs prove yet again that they have gone into full-blown RRREEEEEE mode.
http://mashable.com/2017/01/29/delete-u ... Ejmo1DEkqZ
The order of events appears to be:
1. Trump signs executive order temporarily banning people from 7 countries.
2. SJWs immediately descend on airports to voice their displeasure
3. The NY Taxi Workers Alliance called for a 1 hour "strike" at JFK as part of the protest. Because preventing someone travelling that has nothing to do with the ban from getting home or to work is a great way to get them on your side.
4. During this Uber tweets that surge pricing has been turned off at JFK.
5. SJWs see this as an affront to their strike and begin basically boycotting Uber for actually allowing people to leave the airport. The CEO is also being attacked because he said he would work with the president. Isn't that what you want? Even if you don't agree with him, he is the president, so working with him may get you to some middle ground. Instead these people are taking the 100% with us or you are a Nazi attitude.
Good luck with gaining support for your cause when your cause is actively making life miserable for everyone else. I guess the reasoning is that because 109 people coming in from one of those 7 countries was inconvenienced due to the ban, we all must be inconvenienced. If we do not want to be held up at the airport, then we are actively collaborating with Trump and supporting racism and xenophobia, blah, blah, blah.
I think this ban was handled poorly. I'm still not sure how I feel about the order itself. I don't think it's as bad as the screeching SJWs are making it out be, and they are handling things just as bad as Trump is on this one. You can only scream about issue "X" being the worst ever before people begin to tune you out. Especially when 99.9% of those people aren't affected by it. That doesn't mean an issue that affects 0.1% should be ignored, but the constant screeching about every issue will turn people off to anything you say after a while. I think these groups as a whole are reaching that point with the general public.

+1 Good Post
Maybe the Trump Admin could have handled it better, but it's hard to tell. The press freaks out over everthing with Trump, so I'm mostly ignoring their sensationalizing everything.
I think it's awesome that the free market alternative to cabby unions swooped in and made a shit ton of money, AWESOME !

Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
I've become pretty numb to the "shocking" new stories lately. CNN had coverage of the protests Friday night (I think it was Friday) every time I switched over to them. Over the weekend I was busy with my own life, so I haven't dug into the details of the ban too much. That's what is required today in order to get to the truth.....digging. Going by the MSM you'd think Trump banned Muslims from the US and was even kicking out US citizens. Now I have to actively work to try and get to the facts about what this ban is and what it is not. The media outlets are nothing more than reality TV shows at this point. They are based on real events, they try and make them appear to BE reality, but the truth is hidden behind the scenes.C-Mag wrote: The press freaks out over everything with Trump, so I'm mostly ignoring their sensationalizing everything.

Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
After the dumpster bomb in NYC this summer everyone on twitter was bitching about Uber profiting from a terrorist attack because their prices became very high in response to the massive demand.
This time Uber was in another situation where their prices would automatically go very high as people give up on taxis and call an Uber driver. They overrode the price response this time (probably to avoid the bad press) and still got bad press and people calling for a boycott. It's a hilarious damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Doing a favor for THEIR CUSTOMERS to try and get good PR is now a sin because "something something Trump"? Bravo twitter users, punish the company that tried to provide you with a service!
