Again, please do explain how CONCRETE is better than STEEL, and why that will stop the massive hordes of dangerous brown people dying in the desert to get here?

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Given how many people got here legally and just didn't leave in time, and how many people get here by climbing over or tunneling under, I don't see the value in a $20B wall. How many people are we expecting to keep out as a result?
We get about 1 million new immigrants a year, both legal & illegal. What percentage of those just came walking across the border. (Don't count those who climbed over and tunneled under an existing wall.)
As a reminder, I've been 100% in favor of securing our borders since I was a teenager. I just find a wall to be the least effective and most expensive method.
I certainly hope the people who own the congress creatures don't allow the funding. They love themselves some cheap labor.

Ideally, I am envisioning a border control system identical to that in the Aeon Flux cartoon. Maybe even more dystopian.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/26/busi ... .html?_r=0WASHINGTON — Stephen K. Bannon, President Trump’s chief White House strategist, laced into the American press during an interview on Wednesday evening, arguing that news organizations had been “humiliated” by an election outcome few anticipated, and repeatedly describing the media as “the opposition party” of the current administration.
I consider this a feature, not a bug. The way the media behaved under Bush & Obama was a failure to The American People. This is better and the best thing about this administration being in place.

I'm willing to agree with that statement. It can be hoped that the media suddenly rediscovers their purpose, and engages in actual journalism, with an adversarial stance to the governme-Kath wrote:https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/26/busi ... .html?_r=0WASHINGTON — Stephen K. I just want the peeps to stop confusing news with opinion. I'd like us to start using more facts and less feelz.GrumpyCatFace wrote:
