My best guess is that it's going to be a lot of shovel ready jobs. A boondoggle.
Are there people stupid enough to believe that more wall is going to solve this giant issue?
Again - make it hard for them to find work without documentation and the problem disappears immediately. Bigly. Problem damn near solved for a million or less bucks, because setting up a way to search for SSNs is a tiny task.
Account abandoned.

It has but that doesn't mean that walls are obsolete.
Absolutely. Nothing has changed in 3,000 years that would totally invalidate the concept of a fucking wall stopping humans from going somewhere.

There exist such things as reconnaissance and intelligence gathering.

These things are meant to be used together, genius.
Tanks are really great.
Then why the fuck would spend billions of dollars on fighters and bombers?!?

In many places along the border sure, but in some spots a physical wall is going to help a bunch and pretending that it won't help in these instances makes little sense. Walls simply are not as ineffective in all circumstances as you anti-border wall people here on MHF tend to think.

Yes, and we have a giant, steel border fence. Doesn't impede water flow or animals, for a tiny fraction of the cost. Explain to me why turning that into a CONCRETE WALL is going to change anything.

Because it's a wall... it has more gravitas then a fence.
The Great Fence of China... or the Berlin Fence... not the same appeal.

Airplanes have not rendered a wall obsolete. Walls were never meant to stop airplanes. Not everyone crosses the border via airplane, boat, underground tunnel or ladder. Plenty cross on foot and until that stops walls will have their uses in aiding border security.

It's easier to get through a fence than get over a concrete wall in many instances. Stop being stupid, if walls are obsolete than surely fences are obsolete, but obviously neither are obsolete.
