A border wall will reduce illegal immigration. There are no dragons for dragon repellent to repel. A border wall would be a far more effective use of taxpayers dollars than a dragon repellent program. Your apples to oranges comparison fails miserably.

I'm all for border control. I always have been. I hate our open door policy.

We could end illegal immigration by making it illegal to hire undocumented workers. We most certainly have SSNs in a database somewhere. Just give employers a way to verify the SSN belongs to the person applying for the job.

Easy peasy. I'll bet such a system would cost a bit less than $20 Billion.

Why is a wall stupid if it isn't the entire border security plan? You seem to assume that if the wall is built you can't spend money on any other kind of border security. Just because it won't fix the entire problem doesn't mean it won't fix some of the problem. The goal of the wall is not to end human trafficking, it's to reduce it. Why do you think building a wall will be be such a bad ROI? Just because you can get passed a wall with enough resources, effort and luck doesn't mean it has no use.
