Hmm, we'll need to hire an "accountability director", plus a deputy director and some staff, then set them onto forming an accountability working panel, possibly funding some outside accountability experts... to find out why we aren't getting results with your tax money.clubgop wrote:Correction: Who wants to hold administrators and unions accountable and expect actual results for the money?Montegriffo wrote:Who wants to cut funds aimed at protecting students?

You mean like a parent choosing which school to send their children based upon performance and morals? Yeah, that would be kind of radical. Imagine that.

Time for the Avs to tank, a shame we had to win 10 games in a row.Smitty-48 wrote:NHL hockey talk in the defence of liberty, is no vice.

Why, are the Av's spiraling down, since yesterday?StCapps wrote:Time for the Avs to tank, a shame we had to win 10 games in a row.Smitty-48 wrote:NHL hockey talk in the defence of liberty, is no vice.
Not that a top five pick is not desirable, unless and until you're a legit contender that is.
Dahlin, Tkachuk, Svechnikov, Zadina or Boqvist, nothin' wrong wit dat.

We aren't going to make the playoffs now, especially after that loss to the Edmo Lottery Picks, so might as well start tanking, not that we will, but a boy can dream.Smitty-48 wrote:Why, are the Av's spiraling down, since yesterday? Well the Leafs are making the playoffs, but they're not likely winning the cup, miraculous intervention of the Hockey Gods notwithstanding, so in the end, while there's no point in tanking from 20 games into the playoffs and playoff experience is all inclusive to the Shanababsariello plan, really doesn't make any difference in the end.StCapps wrote:We aren't going to make the playoffs now, so might as well start tanking, not that we will, but a boy can dream.Smitty-48 wrote:Why, are the Av's spiraling down, since yesterday? The Leafs can't really afford another franchise player anyways, so lottery pick would be nice but ultimately superfluous at this point in the window.

Indeed, not even sure the Leafs could tank their way out of the playoffs at this point, given how shitty the Atlantic is, outside the top 3 teams anyway. Might as well get in and grab as much playoff experience as you can.Smitty-48 wrote:Well the Leafs are making the playoffs, but they're not likely winning the cup, miraculous intervention of the Hockey Gods notwithstanding, so in the end, while there's no point in tanking from 20 games into the playoffs and playoff experience is all inclusive to the Shanababsariello plan, really doesn't make any difference in the end.StCapps wrote:We aren't going to make the playoffs now, so might as well start tanking, not that we will, but a boy can dream.Smitty-48 wrote:

Even the Atlantic not sucking wouldn't really matter, the Leafs are not great yet, but they're sixth overall with good reason, they could fend off a challenge from what is behind them, they're second to Pitt, Tampa, and Boston in the East, no doubt, but that's about it.
