The original owner gathered the sum over their lifetime. It's theirs to bequeath upon whomever they choose when they depart.

The only alternative is for another party to decide who gets the $10 million. So a better question might be, why should a party that played no role in acquiring and preserving the $10 million be given a complete and uncontested say in its future?

Somebody who did nothing during their life but manipulate imaginary money aren’t role-models, they aren’t people to be admired, and only need be tolerated until they’re dead. Dude, look what happened: insane wealth concentration and disparity. They have so much money they can buy everything: the media, entertainment, politics, all the levers of power without blinking, and they are immune to market forces. They can own every magazine, every news outlet, every studio, 1000s of square miles of land that no one else can go into or buy a part of. The Commies don’t need anymore evidence of the decadence of Capitalism than that. And they hoard most of the opportunity, one of the two components of liberty: aristocracies only believe in liberty to the richest.

Plus - this whole targeting of "money" is simply a tactic rich people like MH use to target and destroy the middle class. You think Jeff Bezos is sitting on piles of dollars? You think Bill Gates is? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck no, they aren't. Little people deal in money. Rich people deal in assets.
