Re: North Korea News
Anyway, supposing we want to topple an Asian regime for a change (I kind of do because it's fresh and entertaining and I'm tired of the click bait headlines of some fat dictator threatening to nuke us every month ((but then I worry that the world would be less interesting without identically tall female marchers in uniform with pudgy faces))) I would hope we had China on our side to do most of the dirty work. Preferably no air strikes from us necessary. Maybe we could count on them replacing the regime with something more reasonable through covert methods but I doubt it.

Re: North Korea News
We need to start respecting the regional powers. That means Asian issues should be dealt with by China.
I wonder how much better our relations would be with these other major powers if the people running our government actually respected them. You don't have to agree with them to do that.
My criticism of how Trump dealt with this is that it was bound to exacerbate the situation because of the culture of most of these Asian peoples. He went in there like the tough guy bullying people around, and those Asian leaders have to save face or they lose a great deal of internal power. Why not go to China directly and publicly, lay the cards on the table, and ask them what we can do to resolve this situation so that our nations can be allies again. Recall that our people once fought together in the second world war.
What really frustrates me about all of this is that Russian and Chinese people themselves have very little in conflict with our interests. We have some big commonalities with them as well as our differences. I think all three of our nations could potentially be great allies. Imagine the three greatest powers working together towards global security instead of against one another.

Hell yes I am tired of it. But you can't just cross the DMZ without going to war with China. Be respectful of them even if you don't agree with their policies.
I don't think there is anything our nations can't work out. In my opinion, most of these global security issues between the major powers boil down to the total disrespect and arrogance that is fostered in our own federal government. I am not saying these other governments are innocent. I am just saying.. it's always our government instigating things and pushing people's boundaries.
At what point do the American people realize that these people running our government have NOTHING in common with us or our interests?
It's fucking absurd that I have to go to the Russian government to make sense of what is going on sometimes, or that I listen to what their president is saying, and it makes a hell of a lot more sense than the bullshit my own government and their media propaganda are telling me. We don't have a government that is responsive to our people's interest, or even one that tries to work towards our interests. They are dragging us towards a world war.

This is where I'm sooo confused with you in this thread. Trump and the fake media seem to basically imply Chyna is willing to help and you start preparing your iodine horde.Hell yes I am tired of it. They were not willing to help. Trump cruised over to the peninsula with a carrier group and started threatening to do things that would ostensibly violate the armistice. Everybody knew he would do jack shit and he accomplished something worse than Obama's red line debacle.TheReal_ND wrote:This is where I'm sooo confused with you in this thread. What's weird is that his business style was to ask others to come with plans to solve these problems. He could have publicly asked the Chinese government to table a plan that would bring peace to the peninsula and allow us to remove our forces from there. I am not saying that they would come back with an acceptable plan right away, but that's how to get the ball rolling.
China wants our forces off the peninsula. Whether they understand it or not, most Americans want the same thing if they were made to realize the consequences of a conflict there. Everybody wants some kind of regime change in North Korea. I am fairly certain Chinese intelligence has deeply infiltrated their armed forces. I suspect China could make it happen via the North Korean army. You aren't going to get a democracy by any stretch, but a junta rather than a personality cult would be an improvement.

I probably agree with that assesment but last week I had my hopes up that Chyna was going to help. It doesn't appear that way anymore so false alarm yeah without Chyna that's dumb. I was just confused when I was posting fake news that made it look otherwise and you were still flipping out.Speaker to Animals wrote:They were not willing to help. The Chyna coal deal is real though. It's something.

What you do is make a nuclear bull and hide it in a pen, and when a visiting US dignitary comes by . . .
. . . and then you blame it on the Russians!
