Using the average number of illegal immigrants as estimated by Pew, CMS, and CIS instead of FAIR’s number lowers their report’s estimated cost by $11.6 billion.

I'm not sure either of these studies factor in prison costs, National Review says the US spends an additional 1.9 Billion dollars on incarceration of illegal aliens who have been tried and convicted. We have approximately 300,000 illegal aliens in prison and they make about around 30% of our prison population.

So, Yeah, Billions a year is Legit. If a wall cuts down Illegal immigration by 66% we'll probably pay for it in a decade or less.

Even if we were to assume that this is absolutely true, it's not accounting for offsetting effects. That money goes somewhere, not into their pockets.

+ Profits/employment to hospitals, healthcare, schools, government workers
+ Obvious benefits to construction/agriculture/hospitality businesses
+ Increased GDP due to boosted business profits

Now I'm not going to argue that this is a net positive, other than for the food supply. But it's not like we hand them $130B in cash money either.

We could go round and round on this................. point is Illegal Immigration costs us a helluva lot of money. Building a wall is not throwing money away. There's a value analysis to be done here.

That's one thing that could be done, but more than one tactic to address the issue is optimal to reduce the issue as much as is desirable, so writing off the wall because you can think of other ideas to help reduce the issue, that not actually a good argument for the wall being dumb, not even close. The wall is not the only part of the immigration plan, it was never intended to be, drop the strawman.

You have not shown that it's destructive, ineffective or could kill millions. You are on crack and will reach for any ridiculous delusion to write off a wall apparently, those are some of the stupidest reasons I've heard for not building a wall, along with a cliche "ineffective". So, we should just use our fellow man as cheap labor mules so we can pay less for our grilled chicken salad?

Immigration creates problems for the US and Mexico. In the US the much belabored low wages for Americans are directly affected by the supply of cheap Mexican Labor. Mexico is able to continue as a failed State, corrupted by Narco Kingpins, because we create a safety valve for the corrupt Mexican government. Without US dollars flowing back into Mexico, the Mexican government would have to reckon with the Drug Lords and a mass of unemployed poor desperate people. This look the other way so big business can have cheap labor in the US and Mexican corrupt politicians can stay in power needs to end. It's bad for the average people of both countries.

He's another potential bonus to shutting off immigration and a families food bill goes from say $400 a month to $1200 a month something is going to change damn fast. Americans will suddenly start cutting excess calorie intake, anyone with industry will start to grow their own food and with the financial incentive within a decade robots will be created that can takeover the difficult work of picking produce, etc.
