They were rumoured to be the angriest of all and where the berserkers came from. And all came from the area around present day Copenhagen.

When you are talking about third and fourth generation Danish Americans, they do better because odds are their ancestors mated with Saxon Americans and they inherited the higher IQ.

Oh, those Saxons may have higher IQ, but they also genetically predisposed towards submitting themselves to foreign rule. Danes, Normans, and Franks in mainland Europe. But hey, there's great value in knowing your place. The Romans didn't just own dumb, working mule slaves, they had brilliant slaves. I'm sure loads of them were those genetically subservient Saxons. I recall the best guess of where the Angles and Saxons came from was more or less southern Denmark-northern Germany anyway. Probably genetically indistinguishable.

Schlewig-Holstein is where the Angles and Saxons came from. The Saxons were a Germanic tribe that originally occupied the region which today is the North Sea coast of the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark. Their name is derived from the seax, a distinct knife popularly used by the tribe.

The Saxons that travelled over to the British isles in the 6th cent. were from present day Lower Saxony, not the Saxony in Eastern Germany. Angles were from Angeln in what used to be southern Denmark untill 1864, and which is in the present day north-eastern part of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, not far from the Danish border.
