US closes case against ex-FBI boss McCabe with no charges

Federal prosecutors have declined to charge former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, closing an investigation into whether he lied to federal officials about his involvement in a news media disclosure, McCabe’s legal team said Friday.

The decision resolves a criminal investigation that spanned more than a year and began with a referral from the Justice Department’s inspector general, which said McCabe repeatedly lied about having authorized a subordinate to share information with a newspaper reporter for a 2016 article about an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

Tucker broke the story of pollster Frank Lutz living with self described buddy, GOP leader Kevin McCarthy.

Occams Razor is, they are gay lovers. But that aside. We have a Potomac payoff going to Luntz. McCarthy has been funneling money through various PACs to Luntz' shell companies. Nice little scam if you pull it off.

Luntz' "apartment" purchased in 2018, is four adjoining penthouse units in the Clara Barton building in Penn Quarter for a total of almost $4.3 million. Combined, the units totaled 6,960 square feet and had 12 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms and 4 half-baths. Luntz recently rennovated the building, and it appears that GOP contributions paid for all of it, and McCarthy lived there as well.

I'm not sure if you call yourself Republican in California that will be accepted anywhere else, except perhaps Mass, NY, and IL.

The biggest problem with Democrats is there is no subtlety to their opinions. They just see a problem that they have little understanding about, and go with the most obvious solution. In this case, there isn't enough money to fund their programs. So what do they say, "Let's tax raise taxes!" They never consider that possibly the best way to increase government income isn't to increase taxes, but to remove tax loopholes. They don't consider that maybe the best way to remove tax loopholes is to remove all income, property, and corporate taxes in favor of sales tax and tariffs. One argument against this is that it wouldn't be a progressive tax, which is absurd because not all items would need to be taxed at the same rate. You can tax necessities at a lower or even 0 rate, while taxing luxuries at a higher rate. You can tax vehicles based on horsepower, so your utilitarian car that gets you from point A to point B on 50 horsepower gets a low tax, while luxury cars with 250hp get taxed at a higher rate.

There is also the thing that we do not tax capital gains at the same rate as income, even though they are effectively the same thing. That would probably be the first place to look if you want to increase taxes on the rich.

Remove the income ceiling in Social Security and taxes can be taxed. You'll find a lot of things will take care of themselves.

There's also this crazy idea of "stop spending money you don't have" or "cut spending that's producing nothing and repurpose it for your latest wants" .... but I guess they aren't teaching those schools of thought anymore.
"Hey varmints, don't mess with a guy that's riding a buffalo"
