It's irrelevant how long ago the USSR fell... the fact is communism and socialism is starting to make a comeback in the US out of all places should scare the hell out of most... and if it's infected there, they deserve to be deep-sixed.

Oh it's relevant. Because the people now being communists are basically socialist-lights, Bernie supporters and so on. There's no Soviet Union really to support them. Russia is more assisting the far right, not the far left these days. In fact, not many can separate true communism from ordinary leftism.

And Trump isn't the answer to deep six it, Trump is a gift from heaven to the left.

Basically Trump's strategy is to piss off the left in order to get his base to like him (as there isn't much else for him to show). Great, but the downside is that a lot of the things are just totally stupid and unnecessary things. What Trump said about socialism in Venezuela in the UN was smart, the way for a President to do it. Saying that some neonazis are decent people and picking off a fight with some black athletes isn't.

A lot of things you consider to be downsides of Trump's presidency aren't downsides at at all, both your examples suck, pick better ones to show your point about Trump fucking up just to piss off the left.

Attacking the NFL players for their disrespecting the anthem and not painting all the protesters on the right in Charlottesville as neo-nazi's like the media demanded him to.....
