It's too small to be a serious lifter, it's not tactical in terms of maneuver, it can be used to insert SOF at range with speed from the sea, that's about it.

It might be more practical to positions some dumpsters next to a building.

Think of it as more of a small plane which can VTOL rather than a helicopter.

Thing is, Osprey is part of the Marines over the horizon CONOPs against A2AD

But there is little to no A2AD threat in Venezuela.

In Venezuela US forces could roll right up to the front door, drop ramp and kick it in.

At most they will send advisors, dude. I do not think we will devote anything more than intelligence gathering.

Brazil and Columbia can handle this just fine.

We weakened the fuck out this regime by just sending food to the border.

I wouldn't expect an insurgency in Venezuela, they're not Vietnamese, they're not Muslims, it would just be Grenada on steroids.

Will Helicopters prove as pivotal in the Venezuelan conflict as they were in Vietnam or do we just use drones as recon units?

Is the Osprey more of a cargo bird than a combat chopper?
Helicopters weren't pivotal in Vietnam, the North Vietnamese didn't have any.

The Osprey is more of a Rube Goldberg Device.
Indi-Paki War likelihood?

Seems to be the most dangerous situation in the world right now and no mention on this board...

Would there be a winner? Could the US surface a sub in the Bay of Bengal and launch a couple nukes at China to make it look like India did it?

Always on a hair trigger, but there's more tension between India and China at this juncture, India and Japan forming an alliance against Beijing.
