Frankly, it's better to work under an incorporated business tax and capital gains regime, income tax in Canada makes additional employment a diminishing return, once you're at a certain income level, unless you're talking a very big raise indeed.

Blew my mind how taxes work there. We had a wizard of a guy out of Montreal when I worked for the Canucks and he was making shit compared to his actual income which was around 200k CAD.

200,000 CAD is about $.78 American. Their economy is in the toilet right now. Huge sections of the country don't even have access to clean drinking water.
