Re: BREAKING: Las Vegas Active Shooter
President Trump has said that America may have to start talking about gun control laws in the wake of the Vegas shooting.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Do not be surprised if trump signs some kind of gun ban in the near future. It would not shock me in the least bit.

I see, so it's not actually fully automatic by the seer, the stock just let's you use the recoil of the weapon to pull the trigger as to simulate automatic fire, that's why it speeds up and slows down, she goes in and out of the sweet spot and the rate of fire picks up or drops down as she does.Hastur wrote:AR15 with Bump Fire stock and 100 rnd mag. Seems pretty gimmicky, tactically, you could achieve the same ends, without wasting ammo, by just pulling the trigger fast, the bump stock seems more recreational than it is operational, you don't have to shoot that fast to get the job done, it's just for playing Rambo basically, in relative terms, as in relative to just firing rapidly on repetition, I don't think it makes much of a difference.

Kihuen says federal program will give Las Vegas "the tools to prevent, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism."
The Las Vegas area has previously spent the money on training and equipment for bomb and hazardous-material squads.
Grants are awarded to the highest-ranked urban areas on a list determined by risk of terrorist threats, infrastructure and other factors.
The program could see changes in the upcoming months. President Donald Trump's proposed budget would significantly cut cash for the program for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1 and require cities to pay 25 percent of the grants.

Being shot with the bump stock vs. being shot with rapid fire, that's like the difference between being hit by a car going 240 mph and a car going 200 mph.
But the guy going 240 mph is just more likely to lose control of the car and miss you completely.

Trump is a New York Democrat from waaaaaay back.DBTrek wrote:I'll simply mention that the president was totally down with restricting guns from people placed on an arbitrary watchlist, so if you're expecting him to champion gun rights I fear you're in for a huge disappointment.
People like to forget that, because they prefer their fantasies of the man to the reality.
He's no friend of the 2nd Amendment.
Or 1st for that matter.
