What?! Dude, do you know how expensive healthcare has been this century?! Fuckin' shit's broken, man. Ask your "employer" what they think?

p.s. Washington State, plus I know Oregon & California. It was Obamacare when I was in NY & Florida, and initially, Obamacare prices were lower. There was this thing called "Catastrophic Insurance" that wasn't healthcare at all because the deductible was so high. People without significant equity, which is about 80% of the population, shouldn't have even looked at that shit.

What are you talking about? My insurance is fucking great. I'm literally getting a months worth of rent at the end of the year for being safe. It was never 500 a month before 08 I don't know what kind of shitty plan you had. It is now for mediocre .gov market place insurance. Not my problem.

The hell it wasn't. Your employer was picking up about 70% of the costs. Calculate that shit into your numbers.

Obamacare is absolutely killing our economy at the small business level. People cannot expand larger than a small number of employees because they can't afford the health insurance premiums. This is a big fucking problem!

Ask Martin what he was paying for his employee's health insurance back in the day. Even in the 90s it was already becoming unworkable. A lot of employers just ditched health insurance altogether.

Agreed. Nobody I knew had ever bought an actual health insurance policy. It was through work, or you simply didn't have it.

I did for about two years in 1999/2000. I was paying about 250/mo in my twenties. I guarantee a policy like that would be over $500 today without subsidies of some kind.

And it's not even the insurance companies fucking us. It's the doctors, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies. Look at the pumped up COSTS.

Absolutely agree. But according to Republicans, the passage of ObamaCare was a giant leap toward socialism, so they birthed the Tea Party, which swept Republicans into power, who just flopped on their face when given the opportunity to fix it.

Let freedom ring bitch.

Doctors don't know the prices of the products they are using. If they worked like a mechanics shop it would be more reasonable. They could lay a figure out and give you options but they don't. It's not their job frankly. That's your insurance providers.

You may be aware that by 2008, most people didn't have a job anymore. The ones who did couldn't get health insurance provided any more, and still can't.

Really? Where were the breadlines? Where were the shanty towns? I don't recall this. I was doing quite well in fact.
