I've been waiting for the "rent free" moratorium to end.
The longer it goes on, the bigger the potential catastrophe grows.
Stupidest thing I've seen in a while.
Why not just wait till everyone is 5 years behind in rent/mortgage, just to guarantee NO ONE can possibly pay before lifting the moratorium, you dumbasses? Jeez.

I actually just posted on this the other day, didn't know there was a case pending. I expected some kind of bailout to landlords to prevent this shitstorm that is about to happen. Because More Money Today policy is what we are riding.
Crazy. Grab your popcorn.

Re: BREAKING NEWS
I’m just about lined up to get in the market this summer/fall for fire sale pricing.

Re: BREAKING NEWS
If prices tank I may invest in another property or land. Right now there is no way. Prices around my area have gone up at least 30% almost overnight. Some homes are now holding what amount to auction events. Totally unsustainable prices right now.

Re: BREAKING NEWS
My wife lost her job because of this BS, and yet we are moving to another state and have kept up with rent... I can understand not being employed for a few months, but there is no excuse for not being able to find a job and at least pay something.... a lot of landlords would rather get something than nothing at all.DBTrek wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 12:15 pmThat could be big.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 12:01 pmOh shit... it’s about to get real.

This entire "paying rent" freeze for as long as it has is bullshit...

Re: BREAKING NEWS
Will that ruling really matter for some areas? Won't states like NY and CA just enforce their own local rules?
This was just another of their redistribution levers. Under the guise of helping out the helpless and sticking it to the rich, they end up hollowing out the middle while the lazy...*ahem*..helpless get their bribe in the form of free housing and the truly rich get their bribe in the form of buying up the properties from the small landlords.

Re: BREAKING NEWS
If prices tank on the housing market, we can only hope inflation doesn't take hold at the same time.

Imagine if you’re able to hit that sweet spot somewhere between the crash and inflation though. McMansion anyone?PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 12:57 pmTrue.
