Yeah, that sucks ass. But there are other places that will do that too throughout America, not just Kansas.Speaker to Animals wrote:And getting a speeding ticket for going 3 mph over the speed limit when you know you didn't even do that because the car was on fucking cruise control. That too.

Lesson learned is this: if you are a serviceman, and traveling across CONUS, do NOT under any circumstances hang your uniform on the coat rack or signal in any way that you are active duty. It only tells state troopers that you are an easy target for a fraudulent ticket because they know you won't be able to come back to contest it.

Stickers are bad news. You are literally causing literal shaking among the thin blue line between you and . . . something something.

"What are you doing with a marijuana sticker on your bumper?" one of the officers asked.

The only stickers I've ever had on any of my vehicles was a registration sticker and emissions sticker, back when they required those - before the cops all had computers in their cars and could just look it up.Fife wrote:Also, watch your stickering.Speaker to Animals wrote:Lesson learned is this: if you are a serviceman, and traveling across CONUS, do NOT under any circumstances hang your uniform on the coat rack or signal in any way that you are active duty. Umm, everyone know that a sticker doesn't make probable cause, right?
Glad to see my little thread is still alive, been busy dealing with shitstorms unrelated to MJ. Though the tenant giving me grief could use a chill, the pothead tenant that had water pouring from his bedroom ceiling was completely cool about it.

You don't even need to live out of state for them to give bullshit tickets. Around here a fair number of parking tickets are utter nonsense, but who's going to take a day off from work to fight a $60 ticket? The stupid thing is illegally parked cars are not all hard to find, they'd just need to actually do their jobs.Speaker to Animals wrote:Tell that to officer Simon Says.brewster wrote:Umm, everyone know that a sticker doesn't make probable cause, right?

What usually is going on with issuing tickets/citations with fines is that it is a revenue stream for local government and/or the police. Most people won't/can't fight a ticket (even on principal) and would just pay the fine and be done with it.brewster wrote:You don't even need to live out of state for them to give bullshit tickets.
