I am used to NPR 1) editorializing to the left, which I can deal with, and 2) not telling the other side of the story (i.e. in a story about possible mandaotry maternity leave and pay, not mentioning that it will likely lead to less jobs for women of a certain age).
BUT this was a slap in the face. I just happened to glance at the transcript of Trump's press conference while I was bored on the train back from NYC, otherwise I would have never know.
NPR news plays a Q from the media: "there have been more reports of anti-semitism since you were elected, what's the deal?"
Trump first sentences are rambling self promotion, I won the electoral college, big victory, you know the drill, same old narcissism.
And then NPR just cut the tape, and the anchors commented that Trump didn't answer the question.
Look what NPR INTENTIONALLY left out:
This was no accident. You can make anyone look stupid by selecting just a couple sentences.
I knew things were bad, I didn't know they got so bad that NPR will purposefully cull the nice part of his answer.
Every single part of the system is out to destroy. Really is. Not a conspiracy.
Yeah, NPR is AIDS too.
