The PA suit is strong. Their Supreme Court overruled their legislature to allow mail-in ballots received after 8 pm to be counted, but only the legislature can Constitutionally decide that. PA is a win for Trump but it’s not enough. He needs to turn or discredit another State. The voting machines that only switched votes from Trump to Biden is the case in another State. That one requires the Republican legislature to perceive enough fraud to decline to certify.
When Trump wins PA he will only need GA and AZ. Both are easily obtainable given the number of irregularities that have been reported in each of those States. 75% chance that Trump wins the election in the end.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

Watch AZ. If Trump loses there then I think Hanny’s onto the real strategy.

In Georgia, I assume the canvass already caught and corrected any vote flipping, and the hand count is a double-check triggered by the razor-thin margins. It is unlikely to yield more than 10,000 errors missed by the canvass - but you never know.

Same in WI, where the canvass should have already corrected for ballot stuffing - which does happen fairly often, but rarely in amounts that would change more than a local candidates election. Ballot stuffing to the tune of 20,000 would require a level of fraud sophistication that, if the Dems were capable of it, one might expect them to use down ballot, instead of getting their asses handed to them in the house, senate, and governor races.

Intentionally losing down ballot to validate their presidential victory is a level of 4d chessifying that only one statesman in our history has ever been capable of. ;)

As for the 2.6 mil - that is the total number of mail in ballots requested in PA. It is unclear to me if they are saying that some of them lacked signatures (which I believe is the contested 14,000, but am not at all certain), or if they are saying that the mail-in ballot is entirely unconstitutional. If they are really alleging all the mail-ins should be thrown out, that is going to be a tough case to get past state courts given the established law on voting by mail.

But then, I don't think finding fraud is the real strategy for Trump. Blocking certification before the 20th with a flood of questionable lawsuits is the winner - which gives us:

It is an odd piece of law about contested elections that Hash dug up. I'm still not entirely clear on all the details, but it seems like a legit possibility.

Also, it is the most fun outcome.

But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice.
This is the part that confuses me.

The Pence path assumes a 2/3rds quorum can't be reached, but I don't know what 'purpose' the quorum is serving outside the states voting, which just requires a simple majority to appoint the president.

Speaking of AZ...
Arizona Secretary of State Rejects ‘Independent Analysis’ of Voting Data, Says It Would Amplify Baseless Theories

And then there's this:

"Katie Hobbs is Arizona's Secretary of State. She is the one responsible for certifying the election results in her state."

So .... good luck with AZ, Trump.

You need a 2/3rds quorum in order to vote, then a simple majority. If you do not have a quorum no vote can happen, and no one is elected president, or if the simple majority does not happen (say Utah votes for that Mormon guy who ran last time, or Texas votes for Ron Paul) then no one is elected president. If no one is elected president, then the current VP becomes president.

Damn. Them 19th century bois were bananas for quorums. I guess before the transportation revolution, it ensured that there was enough of a representative body at the vote, since it would be easy to arrange it so only 51% of the eligible voters showed up when it took a months to get D.C. from Illinois.

Seems a little archaic now.

Yeah, I was trying to think of a good reason to still need quorum, and the only reasons I could come up with all involve the destruction of the US in some way in which case not having a quorum would be the least of our issues.
