Re: FlynnNN
What about the other article talking about purging the Red Threads. That shit is kinda weird.
“I've got a phone that allows me to convene Americans from every walk of life, nonprofits, businesses, the private sector, universities to try to bring more and more Americans together around what I think is a unifying theme..." - Obama

Re: FlynnNN
Obama didn't want to be portrayed as a peacenik lefty.
So he overcompensated by being extra hawkish with Russia and China.
Obama went soft on Islam, hard on Communism.
That's why that article so stupid, the article states the opposite of the truth, partisan hackery fail.

Re: FlynnNN
This is always the case with the Democrats.
JFK, LBJ, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama.
All extremely hawkish in real terms.
In order to try to offset the inevitable "Commie Sympathizer" card which the GOP will always play.
It's all inclusive to Triangulation.
In order to offset the lefty peacenik McGovern wing of the party, the JFK wing is overly hawkish.

Re: FlynnNN
Why did LBJ escalate so relentlessly in Vietnam?
Simple; was in fear of being the First American President to Lose a War.
The GOP could have got away with it.
Barry Goldwater could have walked away.
But not the New Dealers, FDR would not have quit in Vietnam neither, for the same reason.

Re: FlynnNN
Democrats used to be staunchly anti-communist. We are in bizarro world now. Martin is right about the Kennedy brothers.
They wanted to fight.communism because they saw it as an existential threat to liberty.

Re: FlynnNN
The Democrats have had the tension between their commie wing and their anti commie wing, since WWI.
Woodrow Wilson cracked down on the left ferociously.
So did FDR.
The anti commie wing of the party is ever having to overcompensate for their far left flank.
The more lefty the President, the more he has to overcompensate.

Re: FlynnNN
The Pentgon Papers reveal it all in black and white.
JFK doesn't want to do Vietnam, but if he cuts and runs, he is toast in the election, so he has to keep going.
LBJ says the exact same thing.
The Democrats get into wars, simply because they are afraid of being called pussies for 'cutting and running'.

Well, bring back the anti-communist wing. Where is RFK 2.0?

Re: FlynnNN
The problem for the Democrats is that you can't be a bleeding heart namby pamby on every single issue.
They need one issue where they can act tough, to offset their general panty waistery.
It has to be something big, in order to offset their massive effeminate cry festival on everything else.
Thus, from JFK to BHO, the thing they choose to be crazy aggressive about, is thermonuclear war.
Twice we came to the very brink of it. Once with Kennedy. The second time with Carter.
The two points where the Cold War was won, nary a shot fired, was Nixon and Reagan.
Because Only Nixon Can Go To China. Which includes Reagan talking with Gorbachev too.

Re: FlynnNN
And it's happening again.
Only Trump Can Go To Russia.
When the Democrats get back into power, they will rapidly and recklessly escalate with the Russians and Chinese.
Trump is the only thing standing between a sharp escalation in Cold War Two.
The Democrats will just keep going back to the thermonuclear well, because it's the only stick they got.
