Re: Context w/ The Present Unrest
I always ask guys who are stoned every day when I need to know what's going on.

I just don't put a lot of stock in Rogan's expertise in most topics.
I'll defer to him on matters surrounding UFC commentary.

He's got DMT on lock. As well as free weights. He apparently knows a thing there as well so kudos. Also, very occasionally he has interesting guests. Even if he's a complete waste of oxygen on everything else, hes got a lot more going for him than most of the garbage e-celebs do.Okeefenokee wrote: ↑Sat Jul 14, 2018 5:30 pmI just don't put a lot of stock in Rogan's expertise in most topics.

Yeah his show is fine when he has on decent guests. He's tolerable enough.

No, I like him.
I just go to him for interesting history podcasts.
If I want to know what the public mood is, I don't need folks like Rogan and Daniele.

So their opinion on the the significance and influence of SJWs is off base and incorrect? You could just say that. A Historian and teacher does interact with liberals and students on the regular so he is talking within his domain. Whose an expert on SJWs ...Peterson, Spencer, Styxx , some other youtuber/blogger? Are you that compartmentalized about every subject you talk about? No love for generalist cultured types?

I wouldn't mind learning to kick like he does.
If you ever get into a fight with Joe Rogan, you better watch that fucking kick.

Re: Context w/ The Present Unrest
Neither of them have any more expertise on the current state of social unrest than you or I.
We could get NDT in here as well if you'd like, but that isn't his field either.
No one knows the totality of what is going on right now, or what is going to happen.
Anyone with an opinion on it is only drawing on their own experiences and what they're seeing to form that opinion.
Take Tim Pool for example. He thinks this all started at Charlottesville. The San Jose riot happened more than a year before. Multiple Berkeley riots preceded Charlottesville.
Covering this stuff IS his profession, and he's dead wrong on where it started.
