Oh yeah, I remember all the individuals and demographics James Damore was wishing death on while taunting folks about being untouchable.
First rate comparison.
Really adept.

Oh, now I see your simpleton plan.

It wasn’t just a horrible analogy, it was a laughable and stupid misdirection. I hadn’t considered that because the idea of you stopping to such ridiculous and obvious lows hadn’t occurred to me.

Yes, a union might have saved James Damore’s job. And the Third Reich’s Final Solution might have saved all the victims of the Son of Sam killer, if it was only allowed to play out. Great insight HM.

I don't think she should be fired for that tweet.

Yep, this little incident is a pretty good indication of how single minded University Staff's have become.

Nobody should get fired for a tweet unless it's an actual threat of some kind or somehow disparaging towards the employer.

Just make fun of her.

Businesses should freely fire any employee that brings disrepute or shame to the company at their own discretion.

In principal I agree.
But the vengeance side of me wants to see these fucks get fired, because they have taken the jobs of many people over the last several decades who merely said the 'wrong' thing. People like Randa Jarrar have been forcing the speech they want and limiting the 1st Amendment Rights of people. They don't deserve a higher standard, they deserve their own justice, they can live by the sword and die by the sword. Because they have created the atmosphere where employers don't support free speech, they have built the atmosphere where employers only support politically correct speech.

I think they should have that right too, but I like the idea of having a culture that respects most kinds of speech. One ugly tweet doesn't cross that line. Maybe she was buzzed and said something regretful. (I know she's not regretful, its just an example) That said, I think someone who hurls baseless accusations of racism is not a particularly honest person, not to mention disrespectful, and honesty is a quality educators ought to posses. I think tenure protects the inept and its not a stretch for me to imagine the depths of her ineptitude.

People need to back off on the economic and social punishments inflicted by mob justice or the civil war becomes more of a reality every day.
