It’s not about sterilization, cleansing, or liquidating undesirables. You all assume that a homeless person who voluntarily chooses not to contribute back to society will choose death before service. That’s a pretty ridiculous assumption to make. Imagine for a second, that the capable homeless have the same survival instinct you do, and they don’t want to die. There’s no reason to believe such people faced with the choice of community contribution or figuring out how to survive on their own terms will choose death.
They’ll either figure out a way to feed and shelter themselves without our help, or find some small service they can do for others to survive. If they choose death by hubris, then as Dr. Hash says, most liberty to most people. Enjoy your freedom of choice.
