Just because I find it hard to believe doesn't mean it isn;t true.
Oh I bet that they are a bunch of them that don't really have the cash. They probably rent or borrow a sports car, spend money on a fancy dinner and hotel using Groupon then pull the rug out from underneath these new prostitutes after they get laid and before the hoe gets a dime.
Yeah, contract enforcement is an issue
As I understand it though, this involves multiple "dates" and payments, before services are rendered. And, as we all know, a rich guy would be happy to have up to a dozen of these 'not-hookers' on retainer.

I don't know if it really pans out. A very rich guy who just wants to "own" a chick for sex hires them as assistants or maids or whatever. He at least gets something else out of the deal. Otherwise, he probably would not be rich..

This sort of thing is more common, during Gilded Age phases. The definition of "rich" is generally beyond common comprehension, at this point.
1% of 350m = 3 million x .5(men) = 1.5m possible 'sugar daddies' that could support dozens of women. This business model has huge potential.

Do we know if it was prostitution? Some of those girls might have just wanted to go ass to mouth with a middle aged balding middle manager. They might have done it for free. We wont know until we see all the text messages...

I don't recall which smart cookie once asked:
How is immoral and illegal to sell something that it is morally and legally OK to give away?

It is all about charisma. Women lose their value fast but can make tons of money in a short time. In this bargain the highest quality males get to be sexy till the day they kick the bucket.

Mixing legal and moral.
There are all sorts of things that one can only morally do under narrow constraints.

I intentionally lumped the two in my paraphrase. I'm not sure who said that rough approximation first, or if my paraphrase is a fair representation.
However, I chose that wording because I do find that it is
both morally
and legally OK for a girl to throw me a piece,
gratis. YMMV.

Is it expecting a sexy women to stay with an increasingly unsexy lost his way man moral...
Souns very hookerlike to me.
