Ahh, you hit upon something... the age of synapses and nerves, with the degradation of both you have the potential of also losing the ability to think straight, properly, or to remember things, which in turn can change how you react and respond to specific things.

Plaque buildup on receptors can cause neurological situations that can be akin to reduced cognitive skills, and other things such as Alzheimer's and reactions such as we make fun of here, ie: John McCain, and others of elderly dispositions.

This kind of lack of mental aptitude when a person gets when they hit the elderly years before or just before the end of life cycle of a person. The mind isn't always the first to go, but it's the first to show degradation when used in a mentally demanding environment such as Congress. (Or should be)

I have to bring you back to high school-level because you seem to forget it.

That's not really what causes it, if you mean dementia or Alzheimer.
Please, argue this a little bit more...

The amyloid hypothesis traditionally points to the accumulation of beta-amyloid peptides as the central event triggering neuron degeneration

About 70% of the risk is believed to be genetic with many genes usually involved.

Other risk factors include a history of head injuries, depression, or hypertension.

The disease process is associated with plaques and tangles in the brain

Your slowing reaction times are not the products of neuron degeneration, genetics, head injuries, depression, hypertension, or plaques.

Term limits would fix a lot of this. To me that is more desirable and necessary than any age restrictions.

The older you get the more likely your body mentally, and physically are going to break down. This is not debate, this happens.

Hence, why I am stating at age 75/76 why we should have them tested yearly, because things happen quickly and when they do shit can hit the fan quickly.

Sure, but it's certainly not determined that you will lose your ability to reason and to make wise decisions. You will, however, certainly lose your reaction times. Age necessarily impacts your ability to pilot an aircraft but not necessarily (probably does not until very, very late in life) affect your ability to make decisions.

Have you seen congress lately? You may want to rephrase that statement.

One of the greatest minds in artificial intelligence in his old age:

One of the greatest philosophers of our time:

Probably the greatest scientist of the late twentieth century at age 91:

Yeah, these guys use their brains. Congress is proof you don’t need a brain to be there.

Why blame the politicians and not the people who put them there? Or the process that makes this farce possible?

Shit. I was totally going to debate that.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.
