Those are also the ones that tend to join the military, and those people vote more often than the ones you are talking about.de officiis wrote:True, but what is the new "story"? Answer: Because they've never been any sort of existential, cultural threat to your American way of life.skankhunt42 wrote:The greatest thing about America is our ability to adapt. Sell me on why culturally we should allow this religion to continue to exist here in America. Maybe the best answer to all of this bullshit is getting rid of the Muslim religion from our shores. I'm Agnostic, I'm not a fan of religion. But I'm less a fan of Muslim culture. In the same way I hate the KKK and their culture, why shouldn't we get rid of Muslim culture?
Questions for you, now:
Why would you need to "embrace" Islam to let it exist within your country's borders?
For how many years have Muslims lived in the US? During this time, has the US adopted Muslim "culture"? (I guess you mean Muslim religious practises).
In terms of percentage of total population, how many Muslims live in the US? Are those numbers enough to threaten your way of life? The entire cultural foundation of America is threatened by those, what, 0.5% that constitute the US Muslim population?
Do you not already have laws against FGM, forced marriages, underage sex, terroism and killing people for being gay? You already have a ban in effect against the worst aspects of Islamic religious values, and the values of the various cultures of those who are Muslims (like Pedo-Pashtuns and FGM'ed Egyptians). Enforce and keep enforcing your laws. That's all you need to do. If some leftist/progressive/SJW's make the case that there should be special exemptions for those laws, for Muslim citizens, kick 'em out the chopper. But believing that there are people that can't be controlled? It's a question of not trying hard enough, of virtue signallers insisting that teaching "poor brown people", the values of their new home, is... *something something* imperialist and thereby ruining, halting and perverting any integration process. This is what strong government is good for: Employ the State to Re-Educate.

First off, I completely disagree with you about the existential way of life. If this previous election didn't prove that to you, nothing will. Tons of shit here is at stake culturally on so many levels. As for adopting culture, you should come live where I live, because the women are covered head to toe. Not exactly wearing blue jeans. Look, this isn't about xenophobia, this really is a culture war. The more of them that come over here, it's just going to create problems. You're going to have the same bullshit enclaves that Europe has. Sorry Bjorn, this way come as a shock to you, but half of America doesn't want to be like you, now the other half...BjornP wrote:Answer: Because they've never been any sort of existential, cultural threat to your American way of life.skankhunt42 wrote:The greatest thing about America is our ability to adapt. Hence why this is a serious issue.
Side note, man, fuck your hyperbole. But it should be noted that just because their are laws against something, that doesn't mean people won't be doing it in droves.
Now do I get to throw your judgemental pendulum toward your weak ass country?

Oh, go ahead. My "weak ass country" has a thousand times tougher immigration policy than your free-for-all bonanza, state religion is unapolegtically Lutheran, we banned halal slaughter, overwhelming support for banning male circumcision (FGM already banned) and no one in power, or even the main opposition party, is bending over backwards like the Swedish left, to the call for accepting more immigrants. And the second largest party in the country now is the nationalist party. Though even they, don't advocate for banning all refugees or throwing all Muslims out of the country. Comes with working in a parliament for three decades alongside MP's from several parties, with a Muslim background. Muslims who do accept our way of life.skankhunt42 wrote:

Seriously. What a pathetically hysterically way of thinking. "Existential threat" means that the American way of life is threatened by Islam. Something being "at stake" is not that something actually being threatened. Again.... how many US Muslims are there? How much political power do they actually hold? How many people in the US really, really look to the Islamic way of life, customs, culture, religious tenets, etc? Islam has lived in your country for over a century. Why you all not wearing hijabs and neck beards, then?
As for adopting culture, you should come live where I live, because the women are covered head to toe. Not exactly wearing blue jeans. Look, this isn't about xenophobia, this really is a culture war. Never said it's about xenophobia. There's nothing xenophobic about not wanting ultra-conservative Muslims as your neighbour or them to do dominate your neighbourhood. As for culture war... again, how many Muslims are there in the US? How the FUCK can you even THINK that you're in a war with those people? Seriously, are you pussies? You outnumber them, what... a million to one? And how many pro-sharia laws are the law of the land in your states? Zilch. If that's your idea of being in a "war", you and everyone like you is a hysterical girly man. That's like calling killing a bunch of redskins living in tents a "battle". Get outta here with that pathetic shit.
Should you be resolute,
Side note, man, fuck your hyperbole. But it should be noted that just because their are laws against something, that doesn't mean people won't be doing it in droves.

Don't embrace Islam.
Enforce your laws when they conflict with religious practice - i.e. spousal and child abuse.
Let Muslim's embrace Islam, if they choose, as long as they don't violate the law.
I dunno.... seems kinda simple.

Or alternatively simply throw out freedom of religion.
Start up local religion patrols to report on those who ascribe to outlawed religions... why stop at Islam... I'm sure we can all agree about other offensive belief systems.

The concept of freedom of religion as you seem to define it is suicidal.

Ok, so it's Day 1 in the Red State Nation and you're in charge. Is there going to freedom of religion or not? And if there is, how will you define it to avoid it being "suicidal"?Speaker to Animals wrote:The concept of freedom of religion as you seem to define it is suicidal.
