For a lawyer, Kurt Schlichter is pretty funny most of the time.

Even on something as unfunny as the unlubricated ass-reaming the GOP is giving the country right before your eyes.

Hi, GOP: You Are Terrible and Obamacare Jr. Stinks

When Paul Ryan and his congressional clown car of alleged conservatives surprised us by just sort of dropping Obamacare Jr. on us, I wasn’t surprised to see them trip all over their Guccis during the utterly inept roll out. These nimrods couldn’t effectively communicate to Elizabeth Warren with smoke signals. But even I was shocked at how transcendently crappy their proposed Obamacare replacement is. Let me put it this way: the only thing that steaming pile of failure would be good for is as the key prop in a very specialized, niche German porno film.

Seriously, how many times do we have to tell you? Obamacare must die. Kill it dead – with fire!

I know, right? Imagine the horror of just paying for a flu shot out of your own pocket? Much better to pass a new tax on the populace, install ridiculous regulations written by special interests and have govt determine how your taxes will be redistributed to pay for your flu shot.

Although I do appreciate your honesty. I wonder what else you would vote for the govt to provide for you.

That's the problem for the government is spending too much for too little and not everyone is adequately covered with some not at all. The "free" market segment seems determined to ruin everyone they can if that means they can get a few pennies more in profit.

The problem with Obamacare from the start is, IT'S NOT ABOUT HEALTHCARE ! It's about control by the Government and that's why Progressive Paul Ryan is doing this, he doesnt' want the to lose the controls in Obamacare. Kill it now !

Good luck Carlus.

Ryan would rather stick his own mother's head into the oven while slitting her throat than to give Obamacare a light rap across the knuckles.

Well, he doesn't need to be there. I knew this fucker was trouble when he made ultimatums before taking the position.

I'm on a Medicaid plan, which means I get exactly one free checkup a year and maybe a replacement set of glasses (I have yet to test this, but considering I need a new prescription every few years due to genetically worsening myopia, I'm not confident), and that's it. This is A Problem since that free checkup doesn't cover transecho caridograms, which is what I need to monitor my aorta to make sure it doesn't rupture. It needs to be monitored because the doctors need to know when a stint needs to be put in, which is of course a surgery that I'd have to pay for.

Those cost, yes, but since we're all fans of folksy adages, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Those ultrasounds and stint surgery are still cheaper to subsidize than having to deal with me having a full-blown aortic dissection. Under the proposed plan(s), the "solution" to my problem is let the insurance companies not have to even give me the time of day and let me die from that, and then say "well, it was his own fault for having been born with a heart condition and trying to put his burden on the system in the first place."

Yeah, it really sucks that the libertarians didn't get their way and spoil the election so we could have Hillary Clinton as president. Good job, Fife.

Other than your internet habits, what difference would it have made for you?
