I remember like a couple years ago in the SCF there was a topic about hydroponic farming. Before it descended into sovereign citizen freeman-on-the-land jacking off, the point was there would need to be a MAJOR investment in energy generation for it to be feasible. Everything in the economy ultimately ties back to energy.

Looking at the flood map, I noticed the Feather River flows into the Sacramento River north of the city of Sacramento. I seem to recall that our capital has had problems with flooding in the past. I wonder if they have kept up maintainence, or have skimped on it like they have with the emergency overflow.

I am pretty sure we are also the largest dairy exporter. Say good buy to cheese.

Also, in 2015 we had 3.4 billion cattle and calve industry. Looks like we will be okay in the meat and cheese dept.

You can keep the potatoes, too many carbs, and we like to keep it tight.

California is number one in dairy, but numbers two and three combined produce more, so the only cheese America would really miss out on is that produced in Hollywood.
I wonder how many people would want to fight to retain California in the union, how many would say good riddance, and how many couldn't care either way.
