I'm proud of my father

For all his flaws, when it came to the end, he took it like a man

Pathfinder

Taught me the last lesson a father can teach

How to die with dignity and grace under pressure

He didn't wail, he didn't cry out, he kept the party going, usque ad finem

Our last night together, on his deck, laughing and scratching and watching sports, same as it ever was

He took the burden off my shoulders, he carried the water, faithful, unto Judgement Day

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, I remember him

I remember where I come from, the story of my father

That is all he ever wanted, that is what life is all about

I went for a mounted patrol just for recce, took the dogs so they could stick their heads out the window

Beautiful day, lots of people out, lots of couples arm in arm,

everybody is just keeping a spacing between them and others

All is well it seems, or as well as it can be at war

My mood still fluctuates with the weather anyways

If it was pissing down cold rain right now, I'd prolly be more doom & gloom

But with the warm sunshine and blue skies, I'm happy as a clam in mud

Mrs Smitty is rolling her eyes at my folk music

She's in her Victory Gardens, with her earbuds in, listening to rap music no doubt

The nice weather has brought people out into the parks today.
The daily govt' press conference is warning us to behave or else.
621 died in the last 24hrs 4,934 in total. More than doubled in the last 4 days.
Scotland's medical officer had to apologise for breaking the govt's advice by visiting her second home in the country with her family on the last 2 weekends.
This is the woman who has stood in front of the microphone in official videos telling us not to make any unnecessary journies.
She's been warned not to do it again by the police and is no longer the Scottish govt's media spokesperson.
Fucking SNP are as big a bunch of self-serving hypocrites as the rest of them.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Definitely rap music

Now I can crank my folk right up

Stan & Garnet Rogers, famed as Nova Scotians, but actually they are Upper Canadians, from Hamilton, like Capps

I am working like a dog so is the wife. We are both Pharmacist. For me not much has changed other than wearing a mask and gloves while working. As a warrior I always think of logistics so I was prepared for this a week or so in advance of what was coming. My medical training let me know what I needed before the panic. The run on Toilet paper caught me offguard but I have always kept a good supply on that anyways. Also in a panic when does everybody turn Italian? Stop buying up all the pasta! Other than that private baseball instruction for my son. If he is going to be the coach's kid he might as well be good.
