Can you point to something on the ten commandments you actually do not support as a "good"?

We all violate them all the time. What makes you evil is not even admitting these things are wrong.
The graven inages thing strikes me as spurious. Rape doesn’t make the top ten but Action figures do?

If I had to pick one of the Ten Commandments as not good, it would have to be the graven images thing.

And I don’t mean “not good” as in “it’s evil”. It just doesn’t strike me as particularly “good”. Neutral, maybe.

The orignal commandments included a proscription against drinking goat's milk, among other things.

You need to find yourself some liberals and go talk to them in real life. These are your fellow Americans you're talking bad about, and I feel that most of the people here who "hate hate hate" the other side of the isle, don't have many of the other side in their lives.

These are your fellow Americans, you should have them in your lives, perhaps even on a closer level than work. Take a liberal out for a beer and talk to them. Avoid the crazy ones (just as I do), but yeah, go talk to them. Make friends.
I probably have more Democrat friends than Republican ones. I say probably because I don't go around asking everyone I know what side they are on. I also say probably because during normal conversations you pick up hints. Sometimes those hints are not subtle, depending on the topic of conversation. The thing is, the Liberals we on MHF despise so much are not moderate Democrats or even classic liberals. Those people remain reasonable. I can disagree with my friends on issues without either side going into all-out #resist mode where civility is lost.

So yeah, I avoid the crazy ones. Those are the ones I refer to in my posts, not Democrats like Martin that I would be able to hold a respectful conversation with, and probably be able to come to a compromise with on most of the things we don't agree on.

I only know which of my friends are republican because they don’t evangelize their socio-political views as often as possible, regardless of venue or protocol.

The rest of my friends are Democrats, as you will hear within 30 minutes of meeting them.

That was ritual law in Leviticus. There was nothing intrinsically wrong with eating a lobster. The point was to force people to separate clean from the unclean, a point jedi does not understand.

Conservatives have called me evil to my face.
What prompted them to call you evil? I don't mean it in a "you deserved it" way, but I doubt someone just saw you walking down the street and immediately called you evil. Plus, you know they were conservative, so there had to be some discussion prior to that.

Multiple times, by different people.

Was working as a delivery driver and boss was an evangelical christian. I'm always up for an argument if one presents itself, but he eventually gets it out of me that I'm an atheist. It's been a long while but from what I remember, from then on he tried to convert me, kept telling me that I have no morals because I believed in nothing. What I remember most was, well I always showed up for work early, bout an hour. The place usually opened up at 2pm, and I'm sitting there in my car taking a nap and I hear a tap on my window. It's my boss. I check the time, it's about 30 minutes til, and he asks me if I want to start early.

I'm like sure, come inside and nothing is started up so I start to get things going, and he tells me to stop working for a sec. He starts in on his story about how he used to be lost and he didn't have the best childhood and his father was abusive. He said there was a point in his life where he was standing outside of his father's home with a loaded gun, thinking about going in and killing "the bastard" but he started dating his now wife, and she told him about Jesus. That's what stopped him from killing his asshole father, and with her help he joined the Navy and started his own business. He says he is only telling me this because he's trying to help me out to try to save me from the evils of atheism. I thanked him for sharing his story and worked out my shift.

Didn't last much longer, he continued to get increasingly pushy about his beliefs, then I gave my two weeks about a week after that.

Another time happened when I was invited by a friend of my sister in-law's to a bonfire. I didn't mind the friend, I'd see her at family get togethers sometimes and she's a delightful person. I'd never met her husband though. I'm sitting there enjoying some smores he comes and sits by me. He says "so, I heard you're an atheist." Around where I'm from you expect everyone to be conservative, because if you're liberal around there you tend to hide it. Someone comes up to you and says that you're like "ah shit, here we go."

I forget exactly but he was trying to tell me that the only reason I didn't kill everyone there was "because there was nothing in it for me."

That's what he thought, that if there was something in it for me, I wouldn't hesitate to kill everyone there.

Doesn't stop me.
Of course not. Why let an accurate identification sway you from the path of evil?
Not sure if you're joking or not.
