Roman Josi is the offensive defensemen riverboat gambler, not PK Subban. You could not be more wrong, other than PK won a Fake Norris during a half season. I like Roman Josi, a lot, but defensively he is not as good PK, not at the moment anyway, the offense and transition game is what separates Josi from other elite defensemen out there, not his play in his own zone. This year PK Subban has easily been the best of the Nashville defensemen, when it comes to all around, 200 foot game. Ekholm is the best defensively in his own zone, but he lacks the offense of Subban or Josi. Subban brings the best blend of offense, transition and defense to that blueline of the bunch, Josi is actually the third best Nashville D-man in his own zone.

The stats don't lie, Jake Gardiner is a better possession player than Subban, J-Gards is CF% 52.8, FF% 51.4, PDO 101.9, and if you're gonna say "sheltered", PK is sheltered by Josi, while Jake Gardiner plays with Nikita Roman Polak 2.0 Zaitsev.

PK is so overrated, just a fact.

The stats don't tell the story. J-Gards is sheltered, PK plays shutdown, Josi is sheltered by Ekholm and Subban, since you don't watch the Preds, apparently. Anyone who thinks Josi and Ellis shelter Subban and Ekholm simply does not watch enough Preds games to actually know what the hell is going on.

If you're going to invoke the eye test, PK runs around, gets out of position, loses his assignments, and tries to play the tough guy when nobody is intimidated by him because he's a clown not a Big Nasty.

Advanced Stats or Eye Test, either way, PK is way overrated, just a fact, he's a powerplay specialist, but five on five he ain't no thang, Fake Norris if there ever was one.

PK is better in his own zone, Josi is better at transitions, PK is better offensively ever so slightly. That is the breakdown of the eye test.

Nah, Josi is off the charts, he can skate forever, like Tanger, like Niedermayer, PK is like Dion Phaneuf or Mike Green, big shot from the point, but otherwise unreliable to pick up his man and control the puck when the chips are down, he runs around trying to show off while Josi has to skate around trying to cover for the counter plays that ensue.

The media loves PK, the fans love PK, but the players don't love him, and neither do the coaches, for a good reason, he's overrated, he needs to make himself the center of attention at all times, but when the chips are down, he's a defensive liability and a distraction in the room.

It's like when the Leafs play Nashville, not even worried about PK at all, Fake Norris is actually good for many chances against when he runs around playing the clown, but when Tampa Bay shows up, ruh-roh shaggy, Hedman, Real Norris is in town, now we got a problem.

The Leafs could beat Tampa Bay in the playoffs, if it weren't for Hedman, Hedman makes Tampa Bay into a juggernaut, that's what Real Norris is all about.

Defensive liability is fake news. Your opinion of PK Subban is trash quite frankily. You can have a debate about who is more skilled offensively between Josi and Subban, because that is actually close, PK is the opposite of a defensive liability these days, he's fantastic in his own end. The worst part of Josi's game is his play in his own end, it's the offensive game and transition game that are off the charts, not defense.

Fake Norris, proof is in the pudding, nobody is scared of PK, nobody is worried when PK comes to town, because he's just a hotdog who runs around playing the clown, Nashville doesn't even need him, they could ditch PK and replace him with Dante Fabbro, without even missing a beat.

Just move Ellis up, Ellis is better than Fake Norris, in the playoffs last year, they played Ellis as their top pair RHD, not PK.
