He's setting rules in place for HOW one should express themselves, not THAT they can express themselves. If you invited a guest into your house along with your other friends and family, and your guest suddenly started yelling and calling your girlfriend a whore for wearing a dress he thinks is too racy, is it not your right to kick that person out of your house? Is that censorship? Would you treat him differently if, instead of calling your girlfriend a whore, he quietly tried to start a conversation about appropriate clothing styles with your girlfriend - yet still did his best to show her respect?

"Your house, your rules" does not negate the censorship. Not all censorship is unjustified, Kath's censorship is completely unjustified on a forum that is extremely pro-free speech and doesn't have any rules against graphic personal insults and for good reason. After all, you say she's deleting posts when one of her friends gets insulted. Well, there are loads and loads of posts by clubby calling Monte a pedo that are not deleted. She's way behind schedule if she wanted to protect her friend all the time.

The claims that I delete posts are unfounded. I've never done that.

I've removed 3-4 sentences that specifically call out how a genital of a forum member is used to penetrate children. People report posts and I mostly just close the reports - people can say what they want. I delete far more reports without action than not. Really, it's just the graphic stuff. Clubby can be.... quite detailed.

I'm sorry that doesn't live up to your criteria, but in 15 months, I've deleted a few hundred bots, dozens of spam posts, and edited out graphic content from approximately 4 posts. Yeah, horrible me. Martin should totally fire me.

No point in using sarcasm at that particular context, I didn't vote in that idiotic poll, because I don't think anyone should give a shit about what the forumgoers' opinion are. This is private property. Not an anarchistic commune where everyone has a "right" to decide if you belong in your position. Wether you're "allowed" as moderator or not, is nobody's business but your employer. Employer - Employee contract trumps the buzzing of drooling plebs who think that because they simply exist, because they feel some opinion into being, they should get a say in everything they're tangentially involved in.

I expected there was exagerration involved about clubgop's post, given the one screaming most loudly about it is also the most invested in presenting himself as an eternal victim of evil, coldhearted womenfolk. I really don't care who you delete or edit, that's literally Martin's and whomever he employs here's job to decide. In a digital world where people's newsfeeds are individualized to validate increasingly radical views of the world, people's world get smaller and the world outside their personalized newsfeeds will increasingly seem bigger and more threatening.
