We are communicating right now via boomer-invented technology.

I thought you had Global Warming to fight instead of shit posting on the MHF Al Gore.
Anyway, the cart is over there in a different fucking zip code and the horse is right here if you ever want to put two and two together.

Nope, ARPANET was all Greatest Generation, except for Vint Cerf, who was a War Baby.MilSpecs wrote:We are communicating right now via boomer-invented technology.

Uh.. no.
The internet was created by your parent's generation.
We all live in the shadow of my grandparents' (your parents') generation. The greatest generation fought WW2, propelled humanity into space and to the Moon, explored the solar system, got civil rights passed a second time, built the internet, and more.
Boomers have not really done much at all. But, then, neither has Gen X. We are running on fumes right now.

You have to betray the country or pledge fealty to a foreign power to get kicked out. But wait, let me think about this for a minute....

The Personal Computer was also not a Boomer, Ed Roberts at IBM, another War Baby, even Bill Gates and Paul Allen aknowledge him as the "Father of the Personal Computer"

The pc made our communication possible. Not taking anything away from the early internet.Smitty-48 wrote:Nope, ARPANET was all Greatest Generation, except for Vint Cerf, who was a War Baby.MilSpecs wrote:We are communicating right now via boomer-invented technology.

I bow to your greater historical knowledge, but we clearly are communicating via boomer dispensed technology. I'm not saying everything from satellites to post to the Internet didn't start with earlier generations, but this all happened in our lifetimes.Smitty-48 wrote:The Personal Computer was also not a Boomer, Ed Roberts at IBM, another War Baby, even Bill Gates and Paul Allen aknowledge him as the "Father of the Personal Computer"

And the PC was not invented by a Boomer, as I just said, the Father of the Personal Computer is Ed Roberts, he was born in 1941; not a Boomer.MilSpecs wrote:The pc made our communication possible.
