I'm not worked up about it.
I’d say you’re a bit worked up...
Potemkin village and all.
Canadian Confederation fits the definition of a Potemkin Village.

"Any construction (literal or figurative) built solely to deceive others into thinking that a situation is better than it really is."

That's Canada to a tee.

Fake country pseudo colony propped up by American corporations masquerading as a self sufficient concern.

Canadians are the ones who get worked up when you simply state the truth of it.

But once you come to accept the truth it, it's doesn't make you angry or upset, you simply feel nothing for it.

It's like you were a smoker before, then you quit, then you wonder why you ever smoked in the first place.

I've simply kicked the Canada habit, cold turkey.

Yeah, it way better once you quit the Canadian disease, like lifting a weight off your shoulders. It's a relief, it doesn't piss you off.

The Pequistes is where its at. The Pequistes were right all along.

They are not the enemy, they are the only ones who make any sense at all or ever speak the truth of it.

Always been a Pequiste, that libertarian streak runs deep, the only downside is the hockey team on international stage would take a hit. If Quebec wants to leave, fucking sweet dude, the sooner the better.

There are two Canada's.

There's an entire Canada unto itself, several million of them, who are not loyal to Canada and seek its dissolution.

I simply choose to side with them.

Not out of spite.

Simply because the Confederation Emperor has no clothes, exactly as they've said all along.

They were right, I was wrong. I'm not always right, sometimes I make mistakes.

One of those mistakes was siding with the Liberal Federalists against the Pequistes.

Now I have simply seen the light.

Welcome to the team. You make a better argument in favor of dissolving Confederation than I ever did, your insight has helped me quite a bit in sharpening my pro-Pequistes arguments.

It really is liberating. It doesn't make me angry, it feels like. . . freedom.

I never had a beef with Quebec. I mean if they want to go... that’s chill. We can visit on weekends.
