Live fast, die hard. Infantry. Ducimus.
Eminem agrees:
This is your moment and every single minute you spittin'
Trying to hold onto it 'cause you may never get it again
So while you're in it try to get as much shit as you can
And when your run is over just admit when it's at its end

That’s American sentiment right there ... half-American.
As me ol' Pappy used to say; the statistics on death are 100%. Nobody gets out of life alive.

Everybody gotta die sometime, son. Every day is a gift.

Now me ol' Ma, she's still alive, she's almost eighty now, you know what she says?

Getting old is horrible. There is no upside.

I’m watching my run time plummet by minutes and my injuries taking over a week to heal in my mid 40s.

Can’t even imagine what an 80 y/o body has to feel like. Don’t get me wrong, I plan to stick around and find out (I have kids).
But I’ve seen 80 y/o bodies ... and man ... that shit looks rough.

She says there's not much left in the glass when you're pushing 80.

Don't get too old, son. There's nothing for you here.

There's nothing at the end, life is not actually going anywhere, it's not a journey after all.

My mom is 84 and spry as a whip...

She lives in a condo and socializes as much as ever.

Travels to Europe regularly...

In fact I doubt if she's ever thrived as much as she has in the last few years.

Lost a brother and a sister this year... so that was hard... but she walked with them to the end.

I'm a child of the Seventies, man.

I'm a rock n' roller.

I'm here for a good time not a long time.

Biggest mistake you can make is to assume that your body remains the same as when you're a kid.

As you get older you have to take longer to heal... it's time to adjust... don't keep hammering.

I do yoga now.... my back was starting to get sore... and my usual workouts were just aggravating it...

Those yoga people know what your body needs... if you keep treating it like a pack horse... you'll end up wanting to take it behind the barn out of mercy.

My back is back in form .... and my workouts are back on... maybe not where I was a twenty something... but respectable, if I do say.
Once a week yoga at this point... but I do it on my own.
Meditation too... that's good for the soul.

The Health & Safety Committee?

That's not my department.

State sanctioned mass murderer for the British Crown; occupational hazard, one way or the other.

If the bullets and bombs don't get you, the whiskey and tobacco surely will.

But what fun is it in the end, to live without vice?

Live fast, die hard, God save the Queen.

If the Climate Scientists are to be believed, there's a doomsday coming anyways, and not that far off.

Enjoy the nice weather while it lasts.
