It matters for a reason unrelated to the problem of Islam's incompatibility with our civilization. GovernmentS apparently are trying to cook the stats to make the multicult not look so bad. White crime rates are pretty low. The crime rates of blacks, hispanics, Arabs, etc. Is really high. So they have been reclassifying in the race of criminals as "white" to boost the alleged white crime rate and reduce the crime rates of other groups. In the US this has mostly been done with hispanics. It wouldn't surprise me if they do something similar in Europe with Arabs.

I do know that in the UK, the government and it's state-controlled media (i.e. propaganda) has been labeling Muslims as "Asians" which really pisses off the Asian races that are generally law-abiding and successful. I saw an interview with a Sikh leader where he was annoyed by it, and pointed out that, when English football hooligans riot, they don't say "Europeans" rioted and wrecked shit.

If you want to counter the rise of the alt-right, pretending like these propaganda games don't matter actually hurts your cause. People are seeing this and it's driving them to the new right in droves. My sympathies with the Sikh, but to play the devil's advocate, StA....which ethnic group of Muslims constitute the largest one in Britain? And on what continent are they from? Hell, in what part of the world lies the most populous Islamic country? Still, he's right. "Asian" is a damned broad sort of description.
