The point is the same one of the thread in general; a border wall will be hideously expensive and disruptive. Put that on one side of the scales, and put the wall's effectiveness on the other.

Here's the Solution for the Border Wall - DACA Bullshit.

We've got a Million DACA hobos and we need 2500 miles of wall.
For every mile of wall that is completed admit 400 hobos.

If most people here illegally got here by crossing the border in places where there is no wall, I'd agree. But, that's not how they get here.

It's illegal activity and I'm not sure that can be proven.
Building a Wall, dozens of other countries have done makes sense.

Just needs to make penetrating the border in selected areas as impossible as we can make it. Allows us to focus resources on other areas, be they roads or whatever.

A value analysis of the wall would most likely say it's worthwhile. We spend a helluva lot of money on illegals that we may not have to spend if we stop them from getting here.
