The first standard we need to get in place before we take these accusations seriously is the Accuser needs to make a formal Sworn Statement under penalty of Purgy and file the accusation with a court. If they are not willing to do that, they should be viewed with suspicion.
Except in many cases the courts will not hold them accountable when it is proven they lied. It's changed a little, but we are still talking about women getting walking away with probation at most.
Zing! It's *already* agin the law to lie on somebody on a factual, not opinion, issue. "Franken grabbed my tiddies without permission" is either objectively true or false. If false, was it made with knowledge of the falsity? That's different that "Franken is a shithead." Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
