"I don't believe a word of it," Wyoh added. "We've got Mike and we're going to win! Mike dear, you say we're going to fight Terra -- and Mannie says that's one battle we can't win. You have some idea of how we can win, or you wouldn't have given us even one chance in seven. So what is it?"Speaker to Animals wrote:Well, I mean it is true that if we gain control of the government, we are shipping libertarians and marxists off together to live on a lunar prison mining colony.
The CIA already has the tools to help us identify them quickly, locate them, and physically remove them from the planet.
"Throw rocks at them," Mike answered.

What about Democrats who voted for him? I'm tempted to give them some credit.Speaker to Animals wrote:TheReal_ND wrote:They did. They wanted a third party. For what? So they could be like Europe?
It was a ruse the whole time. It turned out that Johnson was deliberately trying to spoil the election so that Trump would not win. The people who voted for that clown have to go.
It's like when the D student turns in a C paper, and the teacher gives him a B for effort. Sure, some of the credit was unearned, but positive change should be reinforced.

That we were slaves I had known all my life--and nothing could be done about it. True, we weren't bought and sold--but as long as Authority held monopoly over what we had to have and what we could sell to buy it, we were slaves.

They tried to get Hillary elected. They have to go.
If they cause problems on the Moon, then we vac their habitat and start over.
Creepy Cross-Eyed Hillary put out another message. Damn she's spooky, we dodged a bullet there.

What if there was a government OS (Patriot Linux, for example) that would promise to keep everybody safe. It would have it's own browser and search engine with a modified PKI so that unapproved sites could not be accessed. No google, apple, microsoft - nothing. Public broadcasting mentality applied to computing. It would be mandatory in schools, and for all government sites like the irs and healthcare.gov. Kids would start with it in kindergarten.
There are a lot of politicians that could be convinced that this would be a good idea.
If you were an executive for a major tech company, or a content provider, would you be scared?

Like the gun control movement, but applied to computing.
