Sometimes, if you are very clever, you can use your king as bait. I have to assume that NK is hurting for a paradigm shift, given that every single communist regime has been crushed under the weight of their own fuckery.

America is in the rather unique situation where we can toss them our king as a diplomat (which they badly want, and might give a lot to get), and not really lose any face, since no body takes him seriously in the first place. We can abandon Trump in four years (or not), and keep whatever diplomatic inroads we have set up, because we are a free and open civil democracy, and those rule.
