Saw this coming a mile away.
He isn't going to win another state so he's getting out of Biden's way.
Except it doesn't work that way. Look at polling Sanders is a popular 2nd choice. The only option is for everyone to stay in and force a brokered convention. They likely ran out of money more than any strategic plan.

Klobuchar only use was competition in her home state now that she is out Sanders has it all to himself and if he can deny any other candidate getting that 15% threshold he gets 100% of the delegates.

If Bernie wins the nom, how many #NeverTrumpers will vote for Donald over a socialist? The economy is doing well. Do you see this as a repeat of Nixon vs. McGovern in '72?

No idea, to be honest I think the #nevertrumper is much like the #resister.

Doesn't exist in any significant numbers outside the bicoastal media elite bubble. So who they vote for won't matter much. They are already admitting they have no idea what people are thinking. They might push for some independent deep state no name. As for 72, that was 49 states, that coutry doesnt exist anymore.
