I like the idea of the Boeing Airpower Teaming System "Loyal wingman". To be able to have a swarm of unmanned jets accompanying a piloted one.
You get a force multiplier and further obfuscates the enemy missiles.

Re: What's going on in India?
It's all marketing bullshit.
In a way, Smitty proves my point for me. He bought LMC stock and drank the kool aid. Now he is in here like one of those Yahoo message board fanatics back in the 2000s cheering his stock choice, and repeating all the vacuous marketing language.
The entire JSF program is like that. The people pushing this turd of an aircraft all have vested interests in it. It is all corruption. For instance, LMC deliberately spread subcontracting out across the country to essentially buy votes from congressmen. They have enough districts to keep this fraud running through congress.
They make deals with generals and admirals at the Pentagon who are set to retire. These clowns are hooked up with defense industry jobs, or jobs at bogus think tanks where they publish more LMC marketing papers.
This why you saw guys like Ted Cruz freaking out about Boeing's F-15X program. Ted Cruz doesn't have any idea about military aviation. He is trying to kill F-15X because he sees it as a budget threat to his lawn dart, which has substantial subcontracting work in his district.
These people are essentially killing future Americans and jeapordizing our national security for money and influence. It is totally cynical and disgusting.
The F-35 represents everything that is wrong with the federal government.
Smitty just admitted it cannot be an air superiority fighter. If it is just going to be used for support and low-risk sorties, then we are better off with the more affordable and battle-proven F-15X instead of F-35. Then use the massive savings to pay for a new F-22 model.

But those will be expensive, mo code, mo problems. F-35 already does the job of avoiding enemy missiles, the only thing a drone wingman would be useful for, is carrying more ordinance, but once you get into autonomous no pilot, that's where the prices go way up, because most of what you pay for now, is time spent coding the software and then fixing the inevitable bugs.

Boeing is by far the superior manufacturer of military aviation.

I have nothing against Boeing, none the less, 4th generation fighters are obsolete.
It's like saying that Boeing makes a better 1980's pocket calculator. Good for Boeing, except, we use iPads now.

Can't shoot what you can't see, F-15 has a huge radar cross section which the F-35 will see long before the F-15 can see the F-35.
So the F-35 will be able to maneuver into an advantageous position and get the first shots off, at which point F-15 is full defensive in the no escape zone of a C7 AMRAAM at minimum, which is game over F-15.

In the age of radar, it's actually hard to even get a dogfight going, because everybody can see everybody so nobody can sneak up on anybody.
What F-35 does, is bring things back to being able to sneak up on people again, in the radar age.
It's not invisible, but in radar terms the F-15 is like a 737 while the F-35 is like a ping pong ball.

I bet the LMT shareholders' meetings since 2001 have been fucking orgasmic parties. Coke, hookers, and hi-tech shit out to the horizon. Pew! Pew!
I'm glad you're not an AAPL guy, Smits. :goteam: :drunk:

I've owned AAPL, frankly I just reached a point where it was up so much from when I bought it, I decided to just take the exponential profits, can't spend it when I'm dead.
In terms of Marilyn Hewson,I think she's actually doing a good job, but its really more the engineers who are making things happen, none the less, she got Trump onside, so mission accomplished.
Also bear in mind, LockMart is more than just F-35, moreover, it is also up over a thousand percent return for me, and they pay a dividend.
